Mid-County Mini Transfer & Recycling Facility Roadway Reconfiguration and Truck Entrance

Project Description

Design, permit, and construct a new gated truck entrance into the mini-transfer station by reconfiguring the end of Kenilworth Boulevard, adding an automatic security gate in the existing fence, and constructing a drive through an existing stormwater retention pond and tying into the back loop of the station onsite roadway. The entrance is being added for safety allowing large truck the option of not having to enter with general traffic. This option will create controlled access for truck and make the transfer stations traffic more efficient and safer by separating large semi-truck and passenger cars.

Project Location

Charlotte County Mid-County Mini Transfer & Recycling Facility at 19765 Kenilworth Boulevard

Project Impacts

Improved and safer traffic into the county facility.
